Steps To Retrieve Your Vehicle at Vulcan Towing

Note: If you only want to access your vehicle to access items, complete step one then skip to step four and call Vulcan to schedule an appointment. We will require a one-time access fee of $125 paid to Vulcan Towing that will count toward your total bill and proof of ownership (or power of attorney). If you need access to medications or a child’s seat, let us know during the call.

1. Is Your Vehicle In Our Lot?

   If you haven’t checked already, be sure to click the following link to verify that your vehicle is in our impound lot with your license plate or VIN number. Once you have confirmed we have your vehicle, move on to the next step!

2. Call The Municipality

   Call their office at 907-343-4575. Due to the MOA requesting that your vehicle be moved to our impound lot, you need to first call the MOA to get a release form and pay the required MOA fees.

3. Follow The Municipality’s Instructions

   Once you have completed your call with the MOA, you will need to complete the tasks that they have given you before moving on to step four. Should you have more questions, visit the MOA’s information page on impounded vehicles.

4. Schedule Your Appointment with Vulcan

   At this point, fill out our form to verify that you are ready to book an appointment. This form will ensure that you have all of the required information that we need in order to verify that you are authorized to access or retrieve the vehicle in our lot.

5. The Appointment With Vulcan

   When you arrive at Vulcan for your appointment we will contact the MOA to get the required paperwork from them. We then will need the registered owner's valid driver’s license, current insurance, and registration (these need to be brought as physical copies or emailed ahead of time to info@vulcantows.com). After paying the MOA fines and fees, you will pay for the Vulcan processing fees that include things like towing and storage. Then, everything will be good to go for our team to pull the vehicle out the front gates for you!

   Important Notes For Your Appointment::

   • All impound transactions are cash only.

   • A no-show or cancellation within less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time will result in a $37.50 fee for each occurrence.

   • You must arrive with a copy of your valid driver’s license and vehicle registration. We will not be going into vehicles to retrieve your items.

   • All vehicle accesses will be limited to a 20 min period to gather any item that is not wired or bolted to the vehicle.

   • All scheduled access times must have an appointment. Our last appointment times are on weekdays at 3:30 PM.

6. After Accessing Your Vehicle

   Make sure that you take any of the steps required by the MOA which could include registering your vehicle, getting insurance, or updating your valid driver’s license
